Project aims to unite tourism departments of Natal, João Pessoa and Recife to develop the sector.
The tourism departments of Natal, João Pessoa and Recife launched the “Triple Alliance Project”, which aims to promote tourism activities and create greater integration between these capitals, due to the short distance between them and where the flow of tourists is the most intense in the region. The project was launched at a meeting held last Wednesday (23), at the Fecomércio – Sesc Senac hotel, in João Pessoa. The Triple Alliance aims to Improve the reception of the Northeast by encouraging tourists to stay longer in the cities. Its main justification is the implementation of a policy of partnerships involving public and private institutions in the three capitals. The Secretary of Tourism of João Pessoa, Fernando Milanez, defines the project as “consolidating the image of the Northeast in a process of capturing tourism demand for the entire region”.The Municipal Secretary of Tourism of Natal, Christiane Alecrim, highlighted that some package options with the destination of Natal already include João Pessoa, but with the addition of Recife, these packages will be even more valued. “The destination of the Triple Alliance will allow tourists to visit three capitals in a single trip. The proposal develops tourism in the three states”, she points out.The Secretary of Tourism of Recife, Ana Paula Villaça, states that the partnership will be important because it will promote the capital of Pernambuco. “This partnership with Natal and João Pessoa is very timely, so that tourists have a real itinerary and Recife really enters the Brazilian travel calendar”.In addition to representatives from the secretariats of the three capitals, the following were present: Rodrigo Dora – Executive Director of BRICS – PED; Marcelo Keiser – Director of AVIAREPS and Journalists Paulo Miranda and Wills Leal.https://www.natal.rn.gov.br/news/post2/26779
