Last Wednesday, April 16, the International Relations course at Univates held its inaugural lecture of the semester. On the occasion, the lawyer, postgraduate in Law, master in Auditing and Strategic Management and master’s student in International Trade Law at the University of Liverpool, England, Rodrigo Dora, gave a lecture on the current situation and prospects of the BRICS (economic grouping formed by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). In his explanation, moderated by the course professor Marcelo Suano, the speaker presented the history of the BRICS and the economic and commercial relations that exist between these countries.Rodrigo Dora is a member of BRICS-PED, a chamber for economic promotion and development whose objectives are: to contribute to attracting foreign capital investment to the BRICS; promote international trade and leverage opportunities for companies to expand into the rapidly growing BRICS markets as well as into Latin American and other emerging nations; enable BRICS-led multinational trade and economic development opportunities to be launched, nurtured and cultivated; establish a foundation for sustainable international growth, cultural understanding and global economic development for the BRICS, emerging markets and Latin America in general.https://www.univates.br/noticia/13292-brics-e-tema-de-aula-inaugual
